Powerful Premium Filters

Guests have access to standard topic filters for Function Area and Topic Type.

Membership adds multiple additional filters to create a complete power filter solution. 

Totally Flexible Navigation

Premium filters include selectors for Topic Collections, Tech Level, and Video Clip availability.

These are available on all pages that show groups of topics.

  • The Topic Collection filter lets you slice the entire catalog by subject tag. Want to see all Scrum Methodology topics within Solution Development? Two clicks.

  • On any Topic Collection page, a second cross-reference filter lets you narrow further by combining two collections — for example, finding exactly where Project Management and Scrum Methodology overlap.

  • The Tech Level selectors enable filtering on Essential, Standard, or Advanced topic levels. Want to see all Essential-level topics within the Solution Delivery function? Two clicks. 

  • The Video Clip selector filters topics based on whether a YouTube clip is available for each topic.  Want to see all Agile Development topics that have a clip? Two clicks.
    • We focus on clips with meaningful explanations and visuals, so you can learn essentials in just minutes.

Personal Bookmark Collections

The Tech Job Terms platform covers a wide range of IT topics, and personal bookmark collections let you capture and organize the ones most relevant to your work.

Organize Your Own Content

Members can bookmark pages and organize them into personal lists. Your collections are available anytime you log in, on any device, with tools built around IT content — unlike browser bookmarks, which are tied to a specific device and browser and offer no way to filter or search within them.

Members can:

  • Create up to 10 personal lists with custom names
  • Easily add a topic to as many different lists as you need
  • Save up to 500 topics across lists, e.g. 10 lists with 50 topics
  • Rename or delete lists without removing their topic bookmarks
  • See topics by list, sorted by Title, Newest, or Oldest bookmarked time
  • Filter bookmarks by IT Function Area to see related topics without effort
  • Search for any bookmark text in your lists, with live results as you type.

Together, these tools let you build a personalized reference library around your actual work.

Full Content Search

Guests have access to Title Search, which covers many typical scenarios for finding information.

Membership adds a “Control F” for the entire site.

Find Anything Fast

When you log in with an active Membership, a second search box in the toolbar is available that covers all content across the site.

Navigate to any result, and every matching term is clearly highlighted on the page.

We also include a dedicated “Back Button” in the side panel that returns you to the previous page, with all search results still visible in the Content Search dropdown.
